Care and warranty
Most of our panels come from EGGER and KRONOSPAN, and nearly all our hardware from Blum. We pulled the key points from their guides: how to care for your furniture so it looks new for years, and what Blum’s warranty covers.

How to clean
- Use a soft cotton or microfiber cloth.
- Warm water with a little regular dish soap is all you need. On smooth surfaces, glass cleaner works too.
- Wipe textured surfaces in the direction of the texture.
- Wipe cleaning products off the edges right away so they don’t sit there.
- Finish by wiping the surface dry with an absorbent cloth.
What to avoid
- Abrasive powders, steel wool and scouring pads.
- Polishes, waxes, furniture sprays and bleach.
- Acidic cleaners: descalers, oven cleaners and drain cleaners.
- Paint thinners and other solvents.
- Steam cleaners.
Streaks come from solvents, cold water and reusing the same cloth. Wipe the surface with a cloth soaked in warm water and dry it with a clean, soft cloth. Test any new cleaning product somewhere out of sight first.
Countertop
- Don’t cut directly on the countertop. A knife leaves marks even on a tough surface, so always use a cutting board.
- Set pots from the stove, pans from the oven and hot dishes from the dishwasher on a trivet. Heat can dull the surface or damage it.
- Wipe up spilled coffee, tea, wine or oil right away. The longer they sit, the harder they are to remove.
- Never set anything burning or hot on the countertop, like cigarettes or candles.
- A high-gloss countertop shows everyday wear more than a matte one and scratches more easily.
Doors, cabinet boxes and matte surfaces
- Keep your kitchen and bathroom ventilated. Furniture doesn’t belong in constantly damp spaces like a basement.
- Protect it from steam, radiant heat and strong direct sunlight. Steam can discolor the surface or damage the edges.
- Fingerprints show most on dark finishes. Wash them off with warm water and dish soap, then wipe dry. A protective spray for laminate and wood, such as Pronto, helps keep new ones away.
- EGGER PerfectSense super-matte surfaces pick up fewer fingerprints, but they only stay matte with regular cleaning. For grease and dried-on dirt, EGGER makes its own PerfectSense Cleaner.
Blum hardware warranty
Blum warrants its lift systems, hinges and drawer runners for the entire life of the furniture. The warranty covers the original owner who bought the furniture as a consumer.

- Free replacement of defective hardware: a new Blum hinge, drawer runner or lift system.
- What it doesn’t cover
- The furniture itself, removal and installation costs, or hardware that was installed incorrectly, overloaded or used for something else.
- Electrical parts
- Blum offers a 5-year warranty on electrical accessories and electronic components.
- How to file a claim
- Remove the defective hardware and ship it prepaid to Blum with a description of the problem and a copy of your furniture receipt. Contact Blum before you remove anything, since some issues can be fixed by replacing a single part.
